data
For the assignment involving data, I decided to use a bar graph representing the amount of endangered species left in the world. I flipped and transformed the graphs to create a circle. Then I added a picture of the earth in the center and put a fade on it as a symbol of the animals "fading" from the earth,
Life of Pi
I created a tiger in illustrator using the pen tool for this assignment. Since the tiger plays a large role in the movie, I thought a face of a tiger was appropriate.
Here is the second image I created based off of the Life of Pi, I used the boat from the movie and put it on a backdrop of a picture of the sound that I took in the OBX. Next I replaced the tiger on the boat with an image of my grandparents water buffalo, and did a reflection of the boat on the water by distorting the reflected image.

double exposure
A quick, fun way to overlap two images into one cool design! I used a profile of a woman off of the internet which was black and white, then adjusted the blending options to multiply and put a picture of lights from a fleetwood mac concert that I took. It looked boring in just black and white so I added a pink filter to the full image.
Used a picture of my friend Emily and a picture I too in San Francisco.

Wangechi Mutu
Above is a collage, which is a shot from the animated video called The End of eating Everything by Wangechi Mutu. This picture is very powerful and I was very drawn in by the darkness of the picture as well as the girl herself. I watched the video and found it very different but in a good way. The movement of the girl along with the birds flying back and forth make this piece very interesting.

NAPP tutorials
For this assignment we had to pick two tutorials to follow from the NAPP website. This top picture was originally a picture of a vampire looking actor and I followed a tutoria by Corey Barker to create a cool effect using the type tool. I used the plue symbol( + ) and made a brush with it and drew on his face and the background. I think that this turned out very well.
My second one was working with mirrors and I chose Stephanie as my model to pose in the mirror. Using layer maks and the brush tool you can easily create this effect. Look closely...her eyes are open in mirror but not outside of the mirror.
